What is The Hot Pot?

When Sheila and KB decided to take on the role of promoters, one thing they agreed on almost immediately is that they wanted to do something that brings the entire dance community together in a way that gives something to everyone. Several weeks after the success of Echale, the wheels started moving as they spoke with like-minded people that felt the same way.

Starting September 19th, all of the connections that KB and Sheila formed over five years will be on full display.

A hot pot is what you think it is. There are several restaurants all over our area. You choose as a group what you want added into the pot, putting all the ingredients together to create something that everyone can enjoy. It’s how Sheila and KB sees this.

Helping us are the awesome people from the Rising Star Studio.

The brain trust there put this place together with the hope of giving to the community a place of their own to learn different types of dance, to use for socials or for other events. It’s brand new and has all the bells and whistles to host anything up to a mini congress. Being a part of this community, we will do what we can as well to help them succeed.

And on September 19th, we begin the project of bringing this whole community together in a way you’ve never imagined…and we’re excited. Come together with us.

Next up is a mix-up you never thought you needed. But we do. This installment, we’re coming together with Bachatamor and the DMV Dancing Doodles. A bachata class will be with Mimi and to give it that Doodles feel AS WELL AS a salsa class will be with Sheila B, also giving you the feel of Echale. And in that theme, we will have bachata sets done by their resident DJ, DJ MC while the salsa sets will be done be the a resident DJ of Echale, DJ Sidekick. So what if Echale and DMV Dancing Doodles combined to form one event for one night? Like the last installment, what you will get is something special and we’re excited for it.
